TOPIC: Divine Inheritance
FROM THE POINT OF VIEW OF THE DIVINE FEMININE
Sept 1994   by Cherag Regina Coeli McKnight

The Prayer of Request to Tara:

Thinking that all the living beings, extensive as space, are my mothers, and remembering their kindness again and again,  bestow your blessings so that I may proceed on the stages of the path, training in love, compassion and Bodhicitta.

FROM THE HINDU SCRIPTURES
The Upanishads

As the sun that beholds the world is untouched by earthly impurities, so the Spirit that is in all things is untouched by external sufferings.

There is one Ruler, the Spirit that is in all things, who transforms his own form into many.  Only the wise who see him in their souls attain joy eternal.  Only the wise who see him in their souls attain peace eternal
Brahman is all in all.  He is action, knowledge, goodness supreme.  To know him, hidden in the lotus of the heart, is to untie the knot of ignorance.

FROM THE BUDDHIST SCRIPTURES

Our original Buddha-nature is, in all truth, nothing which can be apprehended.  It is void, omnipresent, silent, pure.  It is glorious and mysterious peacefulness, and that is all which can be said.  You yourself must awake to it, fathoming its depths.  That which is before you is it in all its entirety and with nothing whatsoever lacking.

FROM THE ZOROASTRIAN SCRIPTURES
The Zend Avesta of Zarathustra

We worship Ahura Mazda, who made the living Creation and embodies Asha, which is incarnate in the Clean, and in the Waters, and in the wholesome Plants, in the Stars, and in the Earth, and in all objects that are wholesome and good.

We are the extollers of Good Thoughts, of Good Words, of Good Actions.  That, therefore, which we would choose, O Ahura Mazda, is this:  that we should think, and speak and do, those Thoughts, and Words and Actions, which are the Best for both the Worlds.  And by reason of Thy Cosmic Order, Thy Good Mind and Thy Sovereign Power, we thus proclaim Them and thus make Thee the Bestower of our Light.

FROM THE HEBREW SCRIPTURES
Psalm 19

The law of the Lord is perfect, reviving the soul;  the testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple;  the precepts of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart;  the commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes.....More to be  desired are these than gold, even much fine gold; sweeter also than honey and the drippings of the honeycomb.

Moreover,  in keeping them there is great reward.  But who can discern his errors?  Clear thou me from hidden faults.  Keep back thy servant also from presumptuous sins;  let them not have dominion over me!

FROM THE CHRISTIAN SCRIPTURES
Mark 4

And he taught them many things by parables.  As he taught, he said;  ........ "How shall we picture the kingdom of God, or by what parable shall we describe it?  It is like the mustard seed, which is smaller than any seed in the ground at its sowing.  But once sown, it springs up and becomes greater than all herbs, and shoots out great branches;  so that the fowls of the air may lodge under the shadow of it."

Jesus also said,  "The Kingdom of God is within you".

FROM THE SCRIPTURES OF ISLAM
Sura 15:

Behold!  thy Lord said to the angels:  "I am about to create man from sounding clay, from mud moulded into shape.  When I have fashioned him in due proportion and breathed into him of My spirit,  fall ye down in obeisance unto him."

Sura 25:

Among the highest and greatest of the gifts of God is His Revelation, which is the Criterion by which we may judge between right and wrong--between false and true worship, between the Message that comes from God and the forgeries of men, between the real in our eternal Future and the Fancies by which we are misled.

FROM THE GAYAN, VADAN, NIRTAN OF
Hazrat Inayat Khan

The souls of all are from one and the same source, but a soul which is unveiled shines out.  Love and light come continually from such souls.  We need no proof of it, for it is living; all else is dead in comparison.

Divinity is human perfection and humanity is divine limitation.

How can the unlimited Being be limited?  All that seems limited is, in its depth, beyond all limitations
