[definition: from the Latin
1. A useful thing that one constantly carries about. 2. A book, such as a guidebook, for ready reference]
Contains all of the Cherag/Church related papers. All parts of the book that a Cherag would read aloud at the altar have been typeset in bold in order to allow the Cherag to find and recite materials quickly and with confidence. Included are the Order of Service, the Religious Gathekas, as might be used as sermons or as starting points for sermons, Documents related to the Confraternity of the Message as well as, the inspiring addresses of Hazrat Inayat Khan given to cherags between the years of 1923 and 1926.  This edition combines both the Sufi Order and the Sufi Movement versions of the Addresses, presumably for the first time, for a more complete set. There are also selected lectures from the Message Papers and several pages of brief quotes on Religion by Hazrat Inayat Khan for the Cherag’s contemplation.
