MUREEDS IN RECOVERY
Come, come whoever you are, Wanderer, worshiper, lover of leavings, come.
Come, though you have broken your vow a thousand times.
Ours is not a caravan of despair, come.
Yet again, come.
Jelal ud Din Rumi
Below are a few items that you, my fellow mureed may find helpful to have on line. While AA is not 'allied with any sect, denomination, politics, organization, or institution; does not wish to engage in any controversy, neither endorses nor opposes any causes' these AA items are here in relation to 12 step recovery work engaged in by students of the Sufi path, especially that taught by Hazrat Inayat Khan and are intended as reference materials for discussion by mureeds in their work both as students of sufism and participants in 12 step recovery work. See disclaimers.

OUR EMAIL DISCUSSION GROUP
'Mureeds in Recovery' (MIR) is a support group sponsored by the Church of All and all churches via A Cherag's Library (http://www.cheraglibrary.org/library.htm) and is for mureeds from all organizations that follow the Sufi path of Hazrat Inayat Khan and who are also in recovery from alcoholism/ drug addiction or participating in other related recovery programs. Mureeds are encouraged to speak honestly and openly with each other while at the same time striving toward recognizing 'that which is transpires behind that which appears'.

Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of women and men who share their experience, strength and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism.

The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking.

There are no dues or fees for AA membership; we are self-supporting through our own contributions.

AA is not allied with any sect, denomination, politics, organization, or institution; does not wish to engage in any controversy, neither endorses nor opposes any causes.

Our primary purpose is to stay sober and help other alcoholics to achieve sobriety.
